Austin Judge AdvancementsThe DCI would like to congratulate Nicolas Glik, Ute Kronenberg, and Jens Strohaeker for advancing to Level Three.
Nicolas Glik
Nico is soft-spoken, but take the time to ask him about his community of judges in southeast Spain and you'll quickly learn that he has a wealth of opinions. A familiar face to anyone who has attended a professional event in Europe in the last two years, he's also one of the DCI's most dedicated contributors in the judge review department. Frequently smiling, always calm, his demeanor is a reminder to other judges that we are good at what we do, and what we do is fun.
Ute
Kronenberg
Ute entered the judging scene like a whirlwind. Not shy to share her opinions on all things judge related, she became an invaluable resource questioning the traditional way of doing things and bringing forth her own ideas. She has built up her local community into a thriving organism and expanded that enthusiasm to cover all of Germany taking initiatives to bring those judges closer together. People first meeting her are soon surprised to discover a fun-loving person hiding behind the no-nonsense exterior.
Jens
Strohaeker
It proves to be hard to guess Jens's age. His face and his stern behavior usually lead people into thinking he's older than he really is. But the pillar of the community in Southern Germany for several years now is only in his early 20s. Despite extremely demanding medical studies, he has never given up nor paused his involvement in Magic, supporting his local community, attending Grand Prix and other events outside of Germany, up to the point he chose to come to Worlds even if he had to miss lectures.
